The Yellitaare project, funded by the European Union and the Spanish government and implemented by the Spanish Cooperation Agency (AECID) and the Senegalese government's Cell for the Fight Against Malnutrition (CLM), aims to improve food and nutrition security and access to basic health services for vulnerable populations in the departments of Podor, Ranérou, Matam and Kanél in northern Senegal, improving their living conditions to prevent irregular migration. The project started in 2016 and thanks to its activities in governance, nutrition, access to water and sanitation, agricultural production has had a direct positive impact on some 230,000 people.
