Toumour, a village around 80 km from the town of Diffa, has remained relatively unscathed by the violence. Thousands of displaced people and refugees have sought safety there. But the growing population and the lack of water has led to tensions. The wait at wells for drinking water can take several hours. To provide more people with clean drinking water, the ICRC is drilling five new boreholes.
