Demostrators run during clashes in central Dakar, Senegal Friday, Feb. 17, 2012.
Anti-government protesters and police clashed for a third consecutive day Friday, engaging in running street battles of rock throwing and tear gas in the streets of Dakar's downtown Plateau neighborhood. Demonstrators are defying a government ban on protests to call for the departure of 85-year-old President Abdoulaye Wade, who is running for a third term in next week's election.
